About
Denise Brown, M.D.

For me, the best part of being a doctor is getting to know the people that I am caring for. I have enjoyed getting to know many special people and families since I started as a Primary Care Physician on the South Shore almost 20 years ago. I am excited to work at Action Medicine so that I can focus on the type of care that makes me passionate about being a doctor. I love to provide personalized, thorough care that is not rushed. I enjoy working with the whole family, from newborns to older adults. I strive to provide care that is collaborative, pro-active, inclusive, and evidence based. I have a holistic approach, working with patients to treat the cause of medical problems, and reducing prescription medications when it is safe to do so. I have done training at both the Benson Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine and the UMASS Center for Mindfulness, and I enjoy supporting patients with making healthy lifestyle changes and stress management.
I am fluent in French and am listed by the Consulate General of France in Boston as a doctor who is known to the consulate and can provide medical visits in French.
I am proud to have been selected by physician peers as one of the best Primary Care Physicians on the South Shore, when I was listed as a “Top Doctor” in South Shore Living and Cape Cod Magazine in 2015, 2016, and 2017. I also won Honorable Mention from patients voting for Wicked Local Best Primary Care in 2015 and have been listed as a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” since 2015.
When not working, I enjoy recharging by spending time with my husband (who is French), my two children, and my extra-large dog. I also love practicing meditation and yoga, running, and hiking. I play the flute, piano, and classical guitar, am an avid reader, and love cooking for my family.
